Abstract

The purpose of this project is - from case studies in the Brazilian context - reflect about the theoretical and methodological frameworks of conservation science and its application in different stages of the research (field and laboratory) and management of the archaeological record. From this reflection, contribute to the improvement of the relationship between conservators and archaeologists, proposing strategies and actions related to the field of conservation, appropriate to the archaeological research in our country.
