Abstract

This research has as main objective the study of Musica Spirituale, libro primo, the first book devoted to the publication of spiritual madrigals. Through the analytical process of each piece of this book, this work will be based on preparation and execution since the collection of scores to the performance. As field research this study will include the analysis and comparison of existing editions of this volume by examining possible divergences and inconsistencies. Will be also raised issues pertaining to the historical and socialcontext that surrounds each one of the pieces and their composers. For practical achievement of each one of pieces that compose the book, will feature help of a specialized vocal group, in order to get a better result regarding discussions on the implementation and interpretation of the work.
