Abstract

The objective of this work is to study the production of jets from heavy quarks (bottom) in heavy ion collisions. Data from the experiment ALICE (A Large Ion Collider Experiment) will be analyzed, which is a unique collaboration of the LHC (Large Hadron Collider) at the Centre Européenne pour la Recherches nucléaires (CERN) dedicated primarily to the study of relativistic heavy ion collisions . This study will be conducted by analyzing the impact parameter of hadrons produced in these collisions, seeking signatures that can distinguish light quarks jets from heavy quark ones, since these quarks have a longer decay length. This project is part of a broader program of study from our research group on the production of heavy quarks in relativistic heavy ion collisions. (AU)
