Abstract

In this project the student will develop the local geometry of curves and surfaces in 3-dimensional Lorentz-Minkowski space. This student has some background on local theory of curves in 3-dimensional Euclidean space and part of this project is to compare results achieved in both ambient spaces. After that we start to study the local theory of surfaces in both ambient spaces emphasizing the analogies and differences between them. As an auxiliary tool we intend to use some computer algebra system like Sage, Maple or Mathematica. (AU)
