Abstract

This research aims to reflect on the foundations of the autarchy CECAP - State Housing Bank for the People - and its activity, in the context of a housing policy in São Paulo. This project seeks to focus on the analysis of three modern housing complexes of CECAP designed for cities Taubaté, Serra Negra, and Cacapava proposed during the 1970s, a moment which the autarchy is firm as a promoter of housing - until to be deactivated in 1980. This project intends to understand how these housing complexes were inserted in the urban area of these cities in the state, as well as to analyze its implantation amid the discussions on the dissemination and the almost contemporary crisis of modern architecture, to understand them as part of a housing policy that was being structured in São Paulo.
