Abstract

This project intends to investigate the possibilities of creation of affective maps of São Paulo based on the vision and experience of its inhabitants as walkers. The objective is to create - considering the principles of information design (infodesign) - cartographic devices of small parts of the city, that are readable by people, wich can estimulate walks and discuss what kind of relations of fruition are possible in those urban spaces. The research retakes the practices of subjective cartographies experimented by the situationists, that brought to the urban context the nomad thinking, in wich the path is as important as the way one gets to a place. We consider the walk of the citizen in the urban space as an important projectual device in architectural creation - understanding architecture as a simbolic construction of the territory, as wel as a physical construction of space.
