Abstract

Given the current global climate scenario becomes important to understand what the impacts of a warmer atmosphere on the thermal balance in livestock, especially cattle. Quantifying the emission of greenhouse gases such animals also becomes important because this activity has a positive impact on the national economy, however, the environmental point of view, the impact is negative, due to the fact enteric fermentation contribute about 20 % of methane emissions in Brazil. Study the thermoregulation of Nelore cattle associated with the emission of methane throughout the day at different times of the year (July and January), becomes crucial because it will help with estimates for national emission inventories of greenhouse gases, as well to generate knowledge about the influence of weather conditions in the thermoregulation of the animals associated with the emission of methane, this is the goal of this work.
