Abstract

In Brazil, flood prone and slope landslide risk areas are reasonable well known. However, the risk management in those areas is treated in a separate manner among the mobilized slope areas and the flood planes. On the other hand, flood planes, in reality, are also subject to alluvial depositions, which results from debris flow into open channels, becoming partial or fully clogged. Alluvial event studies have been placed frequently apart from flood hydrology literatures. This research purpose the study of a hydrologic regionalization method to locate and evaluate such deposit area and frequency. The method will be implemented and validated with spacial datasets available to foreing catchment study areas in the literature. Further, the regionaliation potential to Brazilian catchment study in alluvial fan prone areas will be tested and validated. (AU)
