Abstract

The purpose of this post-doctoral project is to continue the research done during the candidate's Ph.D. on the problem of subspace complementation and of extension of bounded operators in the context of Banach spaces of the form C(K). More specifically, during her Ph.D., the candidate studied the problem of complementation of isomorphic copies of c_0 and, more generally, the problem of extension of bounded c_0-valued operators in the context of C(K) spaces where K is a compact line. We intend now, among other things, to obtain more general results,considering other classes of compacta and replacing the space c_0 with the space c_0(I), where I is an uncountable set.
