Abstract

The postpartum period is associated with a high incidence of maternal depression, at tis period the woman goes through numerous biological, psychological and social changes in his life. After birth, the baby begins to interact with the environment around them; in general, who practice the role of mediator in this relationship is the mom or sponsor. The researches indicate that a depressed mother may cause impairment in the quality of the interaction since the early months of the postpartum period. Thus this project aim identifying and measure in this population the presence of postpartum depression in a sample of 100 mothers and subsequently compare the interactions of this mothers of babies aged between four and six months from the presence / absence of depression.
