Abstract

This research undergraduates, linked to the Thematic Project "Catholic congregations, Education and the National State in Brazil", aims at obtaining, cataloging and organizing related database operated by the researchers. This database currently has about 200 congregations data or catholic orders, obtained through primary and secondary sources. Contact with these catholic groups was done initially through a questionnaire; this undergraduate research project, this search will be further developed and complemented with information obtained in institutional publications, public documents or in specialized dictionaries, on websites or files. The aim is thus to reorganize and expand the database on catholic congregations, initiated by researchers linked to the thematic project. (AU)
