Abstract

The objective of this study is to comprehend the intellectual trajectory of Rodolfo Augusto de Amorim Garcia (1873-1949), between 1929 and 1945's. This study seeks to realize an attentive interpretation to the possible entangled among work, production places, networks and the own problems of writing the history of this author. Therefore, it becomes necessary to comprehend in an articulated manner, the aspects which molded his conception of history, cultural and political contexts, as well as the relationships held at the main socializing and knowledge production places where he circulated at that period. The National Library will be mainly focused, the National Historic Museum, the Brazilian Letters and the Historic and Geographic Institute will also be part of this analysis, as the problematic of Rodolfo Garcia path at that institution link up the others.
