Abstract

This research proposal deals with residential architecture Jahu between the late nineteenth and early twentieth century, when it enters the Republic and sanitary laws in the State of São Paulo, during the coffee cycle. It is intended to form a clear picture of the residences of the various social strata built in the first half of the twentieth century, through the analysis of existing residential projects in the Municipal Historical Archive Jahu, analyzing the influence of the building code and other laws of such buildings and how that helped write the new urban landscape of this city.
