Abstract

This project aims to present a systematic study of the discourses that produce bodies, genders, and desires of the Romans of the first and second centuries, through the figure of the eunuchs represented the works of Estacio, Martial and Suetonius. To this end, sought to support the concept of disidentification, coined by queer theory, combining it with methods of critical discourse analysis and the notion of representation produced by History cultural. The major purpose is to diversify looks over the ancient world, disrupting hierarchies produced by a compulsory heterosexuality in the past, and especially inpresent. (AU)
