Abstract

This project aims to identify in the literature of the Principate images and speeches of construction of Memoria Principis. Through the critical discourse analysis, pretense address the works of authors such as Quintilian, Suetonius, Tacitus, Martial, Pliny the Younger, Plutarch and Dion Chrysostom within a perspective of production/reproduction/dialogue of discourses and images present in their texts and their contexts. In addition, it is intended to promote a study on the constitution of the Roman philosophical thought, identify the formations of groups of intellectuals in the process of production/reproduction/dialogue of social memory and Roman politics, whether collective or individual.
