Abstract

This project's purpose is to develop the foundations of the theory of the stability region of nonlinear dynamical systems in discrete time. In particular, it aims to develop a complete characterization of stability region and its boundary, extending the existing results of continuous systems for a class of nonlinear dynamical systems in discrete time. It is expected that the results can promote the development of less conservative and robust methods for estimating the stability region of a broad class of nonlinear discrete-time dynamic systems.
