The aim of this project is to study problems of control and filter design with memory for discrete-time dynamical systems subjected to parametric uncertainties and non-linearities. The mathematical models to be investigated consider linear systems with time-varying uncertain parameters, linear systems with saturation and structural constraints in the system and in the controller or in the filter. The H2 and Hoo norms will be used as performance criteria for the conditions to be developed. The methodology is based on polynomial-dependent Lyapunov functions in the parameters, trying to formulate the problems as linear matrix inequality conditions whenever possible.The results will be illustrated through numerical simulations concerned with stability and control of models of discrete-time dynamical systems.
