Abstract

Inside the current panorama of this project, the identification of metabolites found in the samples obtained so far consists in the major obstacle to be transposed. The free online databases show themselves poorly attractive, once the number of signal found per sample is considerably high, which avoids an effective manual search in a given period of time. Thus, as a way to get time and a better survey of the metabolites related to T. cruzi lifecycle, we call for the Research Abroad Internship (BEPE) for 6 months, in order to grant the applicant the immersion in a Metabolomics research center (NPL, Leiden University), where he will get in touch both with the necessary infrastructure for metabolites identification (softwares and databases) and a highly specialized Metabolomics research team (Prof. Choi and his students).
