Abstract

This work aims at evaluating the addition of fatted corn germen to echinus intake through digestibility tests and physico-chemical attributes of feaces such as ph, buffer capacity, color, consistency and daily production. The experiment will be structured in latin squares (LQ) 4x4. The intakes will be composed by 50% of voluminous (Coast Cross hay) and by 50% of concentrated with increasing addition levels of fatted corn germen (0, 10, 20 and 30%). It will be defined the digestibility coefficients for dry matter, organic matter, fiber in neutral detergent, fiber in acid detergent, ether extract, cellulose, lignin, starch and raw energy. The pH measurement and the faecal buffer capacity will be held during the three days of feaces collection and also the evaluation of consistency and faecal color. Thus, we intend to determine the best addition level of fatted corn germen to echinus intake. (AU)
