Abstract

With the construction of roads, new paths are open, allowing people and materials of all kinds to move, leading to the development of regions. However, as time goes, the occupation of the surroundings of the highway can cause significant impacts. In this context, analysis of images from Earth surface obtained by devices on airplanes and UAVs can allow for the qualification and quantification of the occupation in addition to the monitoring and evaluation of the presented impacts. As color and texture are two characteristics that allow the discrimination of different regions in aerial images, this project proposes the study and implementation of a fuzzy inference system of Mamdani type to obtain the classification of land covers in aerial images of the surroundings of Raposo Tavares Highway in the urban area of the city of Sorocaba.
