Abstract

The biodiesel, obtained from the transesterification of vegetable oils with short-chain alcohols such as methanol and ethanol, has been received worldwide attention for being a renewable energy source. Many studies have already been conducted about biofuels looking for information in order to improve their properties and applications. Among the many aspects covered there are studies on volatility and flash point, which are important issues when it comes to process safety, transport and product storage.
