It is proposed the experimental determination of vapor-liquid equilibria data for binary mixtures of compounds found in the biodiesel, by means a PDSC (Pressure Differential Scanning Calorimetry Device). All the mixtures will be prepared with a defined composition (constante mol fraction) of fatty saturated and/or insaturated compounds such as acids and their ethyl esters presents in the organic phase of biodiesel, obtained by transesterification of vegetal oils. In this project is proposed the acquirement of the PDSC Device. The main objective is to measure the VLE data using a very small quantity of substances, that are very expensive. With this equipment it is possible to conduct the measurements at low pressures (high vacuum), in order to avoid the thermal decomposition of the substances. The measured data will be fitted to conventional models used in commercial simulator of chemical processes. (AU)
