Abstract

Throughout this research project, our main goal is to study and develop strategies to protect different quantum gates through the dynamic decoupling techniques. One of the topics of this project is based on more realistic models, where the relative distance of qubits can vary during the quantum gate. In this case, we will focus our attention on time-dependent interaction Hamiltonians where the interaction with the environment behaves independently, when the qubits are separated, and collectively, when they are close. In this sense, our goal is to determine the efficiency of the protective method through the fidelity, entanglement and quantum correlations dynamics, considering the relative positions of the qubits. In addition, we will expand our protective method to include physical systems with additional energy levels, as qutrits and ququarts. In this case we intend to study the dissipative dynamics of one of the simplest quantum algorithms, recently introduced by Zafer Gedik, besides presenting a protective method through the dynamic decoupling technique.
