Abstract The objective of this proposal is to fundament a research project as required for the requisition of a BEPE (Bolsa de Estágio e Pesquisa no Exterior) for cooperation between researchers of Brazil and Portugal. The candidate, Rafael Quelho de Macedo, is a masters student and has already a scholarship approved by FAPESP, process 2014/00929-2, at Instituto Tecnológico de Aeronáutica (ITA), under the supervision of Prof. Rafael Thiago Luiz Ferreira. In Portugal, it is planned an internship at the Instituto Superior Técnico (IST), Lisbon, under the supervision of Prof. José Miranda Guedes, from May to July of 2015. The main goals of the research project in Portugal are to study and develop microstructral models of woven fiber reinforced composites using asymptotic homogenization techniques for application in failure analysis envelopes.
