Abstract

The project consists of studying the necessary principles of algebraic geometry for an introductory comprehension of Gromov-Witten theory. The essential elements are intersection theory and stable holomorphic maps. At the end, the student will seek to formulate, with mathematical rigor, some applications to Physics.
