Abstract

Planning processes involve various tools and concepts that support all stages from diagnosis to evaluation of an established plan. For cities, the Master Plan is the subject of several steps to design and implementation. But often this process changes direction from guidelines unforeseen or even political issues. These changes are often not readily apparent in documents, but you can find indicative of changes in the city' design, from the use of satellite images, maps and other cartographic products. This project aims to study the realization of the Plan of Presidente Prudente in the period 1996-2008 from cartographic products available, whether by public agencies or geographic information disseminators. At the end of this survey is intended to obtain a systematic analysis of the implementation of a Master Plan process and how it materializes in a strictly cartographic analysis and evaluate the importance of cartographic products at all stages of a Master Plan.
