Abstract

This proposal shows preliminary results of diborides that show clear signatures of multiband materials. The similarity to the behaviors observed in MgB2 is remarkable. Within this context, this work proposal focuses on the synthesis of potential candidates that display the multiband behavior, as preliminary results show. In this scenario, a huge family of new diborides that can present these unusual behaviors is a real possibility. Besides the scientific work presented in this proposal, the proponent will also help supervise students and help in the internationalization process of the Superconductivity group at EEL-USP, led by Prof. Antonio Jefferson da Silva Machado, which is the supervisor of this work
