Abstract

The Air Pollution Theme has been taking a great deal of attention due to its adverse effects on both the environment and health. Significant effects deleterious of air pollution have been recorded at environmental levels in the city of São Paulo, predominantly associated with particles. Note that household dust mites (HDM) are reported as the most prevalent cause of allergic sensitization in asthmatics, as well as being the largest source of household allergens in various locations around the world. However, the effect of concentrated ambient particles (CAP) on maternal environment on bronchial hyperresponsiveness and pulmonary inflammatory response in relation to gender differences in their offspring, both they have not been a topic of discussion. The object this study was analyze whether offspring sensitized with HDM from exposed pregnant after exposure concentrated ambient particles (CAP) are be more hyperresponsive than the offspring of pregnant women not exposed to CAP. In addition, we aim to provide data for the development of new public health policy strategies aimed at minimizing the effects of air pollution on asthma.
