Abstract

We intend, in this project, to highlight and discuss the elements that make it possible to formulate a concept of body based on the writings of Marx. The corporeality was not object of systematization by Marx. Post-modern critics impute to the studies based on the Marx writings the difficulty to deal with the concept body. In studies based on Marx postulates there is a tendency to reject the question of corporeality, classifying it as a deviation on the centrality of the structural issues of political and economic order. In Marx's own writings, however, the problem of the body is in close relation to the constituent conceptual ontological categorical plots of networks of social being. To consider the concept of body based on Marx's postulates is to conceive it in an organic relationship with the human productivity, the historical setting of sensitivity and human action. Our object of study is based on this relational constitution. We intend to analyze and discuss Marx's conceptualizations about the labor process, the alienation and the mode of production of capital in its relations with the corporeality. Our research is based on theoretical work and will be developed through consultation and reading, followed by analysis and interpretation of the major works of Marx concerning the subject field circumscribed in this project. This task will be supported by pertinent critical bibliography. (AU)
