Abstract

The aim of this research is analyze the internationalization process of the Brazilian companies in South America - by Foreign Direct Investment - and verify its implications in the South America regional integration. It is intended, thereby, to understand if that internationalization has contributed for the regional integration process - towards generation of productive integration and complementarity, reduction of disparities, technological transfers and employment - or has led to the increase of tensions - due the he expansion of the asymmetries between the Brazilian economy and the rest of the region. To this end, it is intended to work with primary and secondary sources, as well as with the theoretical support of political science, international relations, management and economy. The temporal limitation of the research will be the period from 2000 to 2010. (AU)
