Abstract Brain-computer interfaces (BCIs) are systems capable of allowing a user, by means of the analysis of its brain patterns, the transmission of commands to a machine without using conventional biological paths (nerves, muscles, articulations). The development of this technology will engender important changes in the access to modern information technology, both to the general public and to people with special needs. In this project, we will analyze the performance of a support-vector machine classifier, which belongs to the state of the art in machine learning, in BCI tasks related to SSVEP. The proposals will be validated using the DESTINE project database, built in accordance with the norms of the UNICAMP Ethics Committee. | |
