Abstract

The term "repetition" appears often in the analysis done on Andy Warhol's works. Although it does seem possible to make use of the generic idea of repetition in order to describe the procedure of some of these works, the common sense ignores that the term can have multiple meanings in relation to them. In order to investigate how some of Warhol's pieces are related to these different meanings, this research will study the different definitions of repetition, and each work will be analyzed individually, in comparison to one another and to those definitions.
