Abstract

The research here presented aims to comprehend in which extent the cognitive-informational competencies and the new professional qualifications are related to the Research and Development (R&D) production in the telecommunication sector. Guided by the recent discussions about the informational-cognitive labor and the new information and communication technologies in the first decade of the XXI century, the proposed study constitutes itself in an theoretical and empirical analysis of the working conditions in which predominates the professional cognitive qualification, especially the ones demanded by the restructuring process of professional competencies and qualifications required by the scope of the immaterial labor. Based in an exploratory study of the CPqD company, active in the field of telecommunication and of research and development, situated on the regional technological pole of Campinas, this project is oriented by the following research question: in which extent the new information and communication technologies would be inserted in a more extensive process of production restructuring that would tend to reproduce the forms of work typically capitalists?
