Abstract

The liver is the largest gland in the body, being a body in which the nutrients absorbed in the digestive tract are metabolized. Few studies to assess liver function in goats are found in the literature. Conventional ultrasound associated with Doppler provides real-time information about the architecture and the vascular and hemodynamic aspects of the vessels in various organs. This study aims to describe, through linear and Doppler ultrasonography, the anatomic and hemodynamic respectively liver of Saanen goats standards. The experiment will be carried out on properties in the state of São Paulo. A total of 20 healthy Saanen goats from, 10 lactating and non-lactating females 10 to compare whether there are differences in these phases will be used. The results will be statistically analyzed with SAS 9.3 (SAS Institute, USA) program.
