Abstract

The aim of the present research project is to develop an experimental apparatus for the study of the influence of the nanofluid concentration and the surface roughness on the contact angle. In this way, the present project complements the project approved recently, Young Investigators Grants (JP n° 2013/-15431 7), enabling the experimental analysis of heating surface wettability. It should be noted that measuring the contact angle is usually performed through measurements on high cost equipment (approximately $10,000.00). This fact is a motivation to develop new techniques of measurement and analyses with reduced costs.
