Abstract

Epistemological analysis of scientific research: theoretical study on the various epistemological approaches found in empirical research in the field of Physical Education. Abstract: The main objective of the activities of the researcher (PD-ii) is to deepen the analysis of the results of the Thematic Project. One option is to recover based on the empirical records the relevant theoretical basis for interpretation. The bibliometric, scientometrics and epistemological analysis intended to identify research fronts, scientific collaboration networks between researchers and institutions, influence of authors and prevailing theories. The discussion of various epistemological approaches found in empirical research in the field of Physical Education will be the main focus of post-doctoral researcher, offering theoretical basis for discussing the general results of the Thematic Project. The study is justified in the general conception of epistemology understood as philosophy of science, which seeks to overcome the idea that science only come from those facts. Science demands the complex relationship between facts, theories and scientific explanations. To discover these relationships is necessary to the exercise of interpretation that articulates the facts, theories and explanations. And the interpretation is subjective conditions for a particular process depends on different perspectives and interests leading to the invention are also different theories. The PD-ii researcher will have the collaboration of associated researchers responsible for the activities related to the epistemological analysis and research assistants team linked to Paideia group of FE / Unicamp. The activities of the researcher are provided from the third phase of the research project development when the systematization of data is already done and have the conditions for the discussion of results.
