Abstract

The current Postdoctoral Research Project aims to profound the acknowledgements regards the proposal and the concepts about hospitality, in cosmopolitanism point of view, formulated by Jacques Derrida. Based upon an interdisciplinary approach, between Philosophy and International Relations, the research attempt to comprehended the formulations of Derrida in order to systematize and promote acknowledgments translated in scientific publications.The question has prominence in political philosophy and international relations. Evoked in Ancient Greek, discussed and promoted by cinics and stoics, was recovered in modern perspective by Immanuel Kant, who generated the right of hospitality in cosmopolitan terms. Derrida, in contemporary approach, illuminate the hospitality but as a synonym of Ethics, promoting, at the same time, the idea of unconditional hospitality. Therefore, from these conceptual innovations of J. Derrida, the postdoctoral Project aims actualize the debate of international relations about cosmopolitanism/hospitality, contributing with a contemporary and original reflection.
