Abstract This research project intends to study the relation between metaphysics and experience in Malebranches philosophy as a reflex of the coexistence of the union with the body and with god on the human soul. We will take as our starting point the necessity, as established by the author, of the distinction of both dominions and of keeping them apart to get to the purely intelligible thruths, and in the same time postulates its inseparability in the act of perception. Through this analysis, we intend to show that there is in Malebranches philosophy, and more precisely in his conception of perception, a middle ground between metaphysics and experience and, consequently, between the sensible and the intelligible, at the same time keeping this two domains from becoming homogenous.
