Abstract

This research project aims to provide evidence about the construct validity of two motor assessment tools, namely, the Movement Assessment Batery for Children, second edition - MABC-2 and Bruininks-Oseretsky Test of Motor Proficiency, second edition - BOT-2 in the Brazilian population of children from the first cycle, comparing differing natures of underlying models to items that both contains, namely, dimensional [trait], class, and hybrid. Methods: Participants: 125 students from 1st grade of elementary school from municipal schools, both genders, from 6 years to 6 years and 11 months were assessed with the application of Movement Assessment Battery for Children, second edition, in pre and post-intervention assessments. And participate 100 students of both genders, from 5 to 11 years old, attending the 1st to 5th grade of elementary school from municipal schools, which were assessed with the application Bruininks-Oseretsky Test of Motor Proficiency, second edition, in its complete form. Statistical analysis: The data will be statistically analyzed by Confirmatory Factor Analysis of Latent Class Analysis, Hybrid Models (mixture modeling) and the Invariance Test. (AU)
