Abstract

Due to the large variation in arsenic toxicity levels, specifically its inorganic forms, As(III) and As(V), is of great interest the demand for skilled analytical methods to the speciation of semi-metal when assessing the environmental contamination level or a biological system. In this study will be evaluated different binders for redox speciation analysis of arsenic using diusive gradient thin lm technique (DGT). The main parameters that affect the performance of DGT will be analyzed: immersion time; pH; ionic strength. Then, we analyzed the effects of potential interferences and applied the method developed for water sample analysis. During the project will evaluate the possibility of also analyze soil samples.
