Abstract

The present research aims to call into question the critique received by Husserl regarding hisbelonging to the "mataphysics of presence", that is, regarding the hipostasiation and supremacy of the originary presentive intuition of the object in the flesh for the phenomenological method. We intend to relativise the role of perceptive presentation to which, according to this interpretation, every other type of intentionality ultimately submits. For such purpose, we will analyse the parts III and IV of the lecture course of 1904/05, besides some texts on the time consciousness collected on the Husserliana X. We will especially consider the intuitive presentifications of fantasy and remembrance, insofar as they are great exemplars of an autonomous intentionality not founded on the originary presence of the perception. The presentifying intuitive intentionality, as it brings again to the presence something that has already been present but that is actually absent, points to the unveiling of a constitution level other than the immanent constituted level of perception. We will seek to show that is because of a temporal difference that the incorporation of intuitive presentifications into a constituent level it's required. Hence, this research intends to rethink the foundational relations between presentifying and presentative intentionalities, as well as the consequences that the new characterizations of remembrance and fantasy brings to the phenomenological inquiry.
