Abstract

This research focuses the football fans bodies. These bodies have their actions influenced, on one side, by the institutional rules of the stadium, privileged place of supporting, and, on the other side, by the established practices of organized supporterism, where fans associations have a central role to play. Both these forms of organizing these bodies and their actions in space are related and superpose each other in stadiums tribunes. The fans association knew as Mancha Verde will be object of the ethnography to be realized in the context of their necessary adaptation to the recently inaugurated Allianz Parque. The newest sportive arena in the city of São Paulo is an example of the "arenization" process in Brazilian football. This process carries a series of historical changes directly related to what could be called modernization of football, the supporting bodies are one of the fields where these changes are expressed.
