Abstract

This project aims to understand and characterize in detail the Mycetophilidae fauna (Diptera: Bibionomorpha) of Atlantic Forest fragments Semideciduous the campus of the University of São Paulo, Ribeirão Preto-SP. Standardized sampling will be carried out dipterous using Malaise traps, collected on a regular basis every two weeks over six months at two points of the campus, one with a patch of secondary forest eighty years of recovery and one with ten years of recovery. The Mycetophilidae of adults will be screened and identified the specific level in Morphology and Evolution Laboratory of Diptera (lemed). The identification result in a list of the campus fauna. To the extent possible, the new species recently reviewed genres are described. All records will be released in a collection database and will be used to update the Neotropical Mycetophilidae catalog. A comparison of the species of the family will be collected on campus with Mycetophilidae fauna of results obtained for other fragments of the region (eg, Ecological Station of Ribeirao Preto, Ribeirao Preto, SP; Biological Reserve Augusto Ruschi, Sertaozinho, SP) in the region. This will allow to estimate the speed of recovery of Mycetophilidae fauna in secondary forest patches of different ages. Species accumulation curves will be made and estimates the relative abundance of the two spots for the various species.
