Abstract

The Polo Film Paulínia, located in the State of São Paulo, it is an interesting research subject because it has a large structure in audiovisual production that could help to promote cultural diversity of Brazil through film. We know that the film has the power to break local boundaries, regional, national and international, becoming a communication phenomenon among various sectors of society, especially, awakening critical reflection and legitimizing the cultural identity of a people. This movie complex also signals as a powerful area of creation, professional training and education in cultural goods. In this case, it is also an important source for researching historical, social, cultural, artistic, economic and political aspects, and bring questions about the negative and positive impacts of the investments made in the cultural and historical importance of a pole in Film distribution of cultural goods to the country. The analysis will be made by means of a case study methodology combined with bibliographic and historical studies. Later we intend to analyze the films produced in this Film Pole and which the predominant theme in relevance with national cultural production. (AU)
