Abstract

The use and the land use exert significant influence on surface runoff and sediment supply in the bed of water sources and may change the quality and water availability. The aim of this project is to verify the influence of land use on the water resources, between the years 1987, 2000 and 2015. For the mapping the watershed of Alto Batalha, will be used satellite images of Landsat 5 and Landsat 8. The analysis of land use change and future scenery simulation will be performed through the Land Change Modeler module - LCM, IDRISI Selva, which will enable to succeed relationships, loss and persistence of the main classes of use and predict future changes in landscape watershed. It is hoped that this study, a support in decision making, as well awareness on the sustainable use of natural resources.
