Abstract

This is a cross-sectional and an analytical study that aims to analyze the access of child, after birth, to the nursing care in basic health network in a city in state of São Paulo. The participant are all children who were born between January 1st, 2010 and December 31th, 2014. The city has an annual average of 8,200 birth, and 60% of those are SUS users; so, we estimate 24,600 children in this study. We will obtain the data from spreadsheets of A Life Blossom Program, linked to Program for Child Health Care of Municipal Health Department (MHD). The variables to be analyzed will be basic health facility, hospital of birth, child's age, birth weight, maternal age, parity, referral to specialized health service, neonatal screening and BCG vaccine. In the analytical phase, we will look for association between birth weight, maternal age, parity and the newborn access to nursing health care in basic health units. An Ethic Committee will evaluate this project, after MHD approval. The benefits are related to the management of information on the access and the nursing care to child as a potential tool to qualify the care provided by transposing the results to similar situations, as well as supporting in the visibility of those results in regional and/or national level.
