Abstract

This project outlines ideas to be put in action during a postdoctoral stage. Among goals of this stage are to establish partnership between Brazilian and American research groups and to research about promotion of scientific literacy and argumentation in science classrooms. More specifically, we intend to analyze the relationship between cultural aspects built within classroom and cultural aspects of subjects in the classroom, so is important to look for evidence of these aspects as well as the processes that trigger them. Our expectation is to provide a mutual contribution to research in science education and for science education, enable us to provide instruments and categories for analysis of discursive interactions in inquiry-based classes, considering processes in which scientific practices scholar practices hybridize in classroom.
