Abstract

The ongoing research developed in Brazil "Ruth Verde Zein, the magazine Projeto and Arquigrafia: a study about a collection of photographic images of Brazilian architecture" is based on a collection of original photographs donated by the architect and urban planner Ruth Verde Zein to the FAUUSP Library in 2014, consisting of 1,702 slides. This research also investigates the interaction of this collection with the magazines Projeto and Projeto Design in which the architect was a collaborator between 1982 and 1996.The work deals with the cleaning procedures, preservation, cataloging, packaging and storage, digitization of slides as well as integration via upload in the Arquigrafia collaborative platform. The Arquigrafia is a project that disseminates images of architecture and urbanism online with the intent to enrich the debate and criticism in this field and their forms of representation.The internship program "Bolsa Estágio de Pesquisa no Exterior" (BEPE) is planned to take place in Spain and Portugal, in order to promote academic exchanges and opportunities to complement the research developed so far, thereby contributing to the wider debate and knowledge in the areas of conservation, preservation and digitization of photographic images archives, the dissemination of public and private collections on the Web and in journals.The internship aims to deepen the studies on the implications of the publications over the individual and collective perceptions of architecture.
