Abstract

This project aims to study the forms by which the poetic practice mobilizes the parts and functions of the body to constitute itself as writing, allowing its history to be read as a series of conflicts involving a physiology of the senses. In other words, it is about knowing how the articulation of the perceptive, cognitive and motor processes in different poetics, and causes different ways to produce and share the sensible. This historical and epistemological perspective find a singular repercussion in three different new Brazilian artists: Ricardo Domeneck, Walter Gam e André Vallias. It will be proposed then the reading of their works having in focus the manners in which each one of them redesign the "organs of sense" (respectively the vocal-digestive, visual and tactile sensory system) as a way of political aesthetic intervention. Throughout these analyses, it will be shown the importance of this type of strategy in the present time, in which the procedures of biological manipulation of the genetic level, impose as market parameters of democratic governance along with the brink of ecological destruction and the proliferation of technological aids in mediating relations. Therefore, the work will have a dialogue and debate with theorists that have sought to rethink the notions of life from the way different poetic participate in its constitution, such as Jacques Derrida, Walter Benjamin, Jacques Rancière, Gilles Deleuze, Giorgio Agamben, Michel Deguy, Catherine Malabou among others.
