Abstract

The central aim of this study is the leadership social skills repertory identification, present in the conduct of leaders who work in technical and administrative sectors of a Public University, correlating the repertoire of social skills with indicators of anxiety and depression and describe the prevalence of anxiety and depression in the study population. For this, the Social Skills Inventory IHS-Del Prette will be used to assess social skills and Beck Anxiety Inventory (BAI) and Beck Depression Inventory (BDI) to assess indicatives of anxiety and depression. The project presents a brief comment on the current situation of the working world, as well as the necessary conduct that should be present in the behavioral repertoire of leaders, emphasizing the professionals social skills as essential for the proper performance of leadership activities nowadays. Targeting a theoretical support to the study, we present at first a conceptualizations of social skills and professional social skills, emphasizing some necessary behaviors that should make up the repertoire of leaders, justifying the importance of conducting the research, followed by methodological procedures and, finally, bibliographic references wich supports the project.
